Just Another Manic Monday!

So, got up this morning, stumbled into the shower and turned it on. A little bit of water dribbled out and then stopped. Completely stopped. Okay, turn tap off and just go get dressed. Try to brush teeth. Absolutely no water came out! *Sigh* Okay, go get some water in a cup from my jug in the fridge. Brush teeth.

Finished getting ready and got to the bus, uneventfully. Started to snooze a little on the bus, but not a full snooze, still half awake. Eventually bus is not moving much, just sort of creeping along like a snail. And pretty soon, bus is not moving at all. Open my eyes and look around, we're still on St. Anne's road and none of the other cars are moving at all either. Close eyes again and think - if I don't see it it's not really happening, right? ;-) Feel bus creep around the corner to St. Mary's Road eventually, and then no movement for a long time. Bus keeps up with this slow creeping and no movement until I open up my eyes again. Not very far along St. Mary's Road. Look at the time on my phone - I have 20 minutes left before I start work, and I am not even halfway there.

Then I hear it, the wail of a siren. An ambulance goes past on the other side of the road, since it is so congested on the proper side of the road and the traffic is being held back up ahead on the other side. Keep creeping ahead and stopping for a while longer. I have phoned work to tell them I'm behind some accident holding up traffic and will be late. Person I spoke to at work sounds frustrated, but knows there's nothing either of us can do (short of me growing a set of wings)!

Never did get to see the accident, perhaps it got all cleared away, or was a pedestrian versus car or something like that, but eventually traffic started moving smoothly again, and I was only 15 minutes late for work.

Usual Monday at work for the rest of the day, and then a really good way to end the "workday" when I got home I had an email from the assessment coordinator at school and I got 98% on the test I wrote last week! Yay me!!
