Well, well, well, what do we have here? A blog post that gives me permission to be wordy! ;-)
But I think I will refrain from giving a minute by minute play by play and give detailed highlights instead. And the start of the day was anything but a highlight! I *thought* that I hit 'Snooze' on my alarm at 6:45 am, but it turns out that I hit 'Off'. Well, 7:28 am rolls around and that is when my body decides that it's time to wake me because I need to be up. Well, I needed to be and at it many minutes before that, but....
I was walking out of my apartment at 7:44 am, and caught an Express bus downtown, which left me just enough time to get a little something to eat and drink before starting work.
Generally the morning at the daycare went well - kids played, they argued, I helped them talk it out, they played some more, my co-teacher came in and we got ready to go to the gym, we went down for lunch, I let other staff go for lunch, I got to go for lunch, and then, nap time was over and we had to get our group ready to go play outside. Well, out of the 13 kids we had in our group this afternoon, 5 did not want to get ready to go outside. By the time it was time to be outside we had 9 kids ready and one (that was ready) got picked up. So I took 8 kids out to the park and my co-teacher, bless her heart, got the rest ready and then outside. Snack was good, and the kids went back to playing when snack was done, and then it was time to be done.
And then, I had to renew my car insurance, and my driver's licence, and then meet another co-worker of mine to get a baby shower gift for a co-worker who had her baby at the beginning of December. We decided to do something a little less conservative, since we were sharing the cost and the item was majorly on sale, and got our co-worker an Exersaucer. Then off to the baby shower, then the bus ride home with two co-workers and the one co-worker's 4 year old daughter (who also went to the baby shower).
Then home, and I hope next on the agenda is homework, well, reading the textbooks, for the course I am working on with school, maybe some crocheting, and then bed at a decent time!
