Day 26 - My Week

Well, since the post about my day yesterday was to be in great detail, and I tried to keep it short, and yet still was wordy, I decided that I would give detailed highlights of my past week.

Wednesday - Went to work, was asked to take school kids to the school and due to the windchill factor to take them on the bus. Fell while trying to keep the children who also had to stand in the bus safe and hurt my right wrist. Went back to work asking my boss for a tensor bandage and Tylenol. After been looked over by one of the lifeguards, transported to urgent care by my boss, X-rays, and waiting to see a doctor I heard, "Nothing broken, just needs Tylenol and a tensor." Did not make it to respite work that night.

Thursday - Went back to work, wrist wrapped in a tensor bandage, and worked all day. The kids were concerned about me. Took it easy in the evening, which was needed!

Friday - Went to work, wrist still wrapped in a tensor bandage and worked all day. Kids were still concerned about me and showed alot more interest in doing things for me like getting my water bottle if I was thirsty so I could stay put, and carrying swim bags and stuff like that! Again took it easy Friday evening, in and around housework and stuff.

Saturday - Slept in, met Stacy for Sidewalk Sale shopping. Got done with shopping in early evening and then prepared for Sunday school and got purchases put away.

Sunday - Worship Service, lunch with Mom, Dad, Curtis, Nora, Levi, Stacy, and Grant after Church. After getting home tried to get laundry into the machines but people kept getting their stuff in before me and by the time I got mine in, it was not done until well after evening Bible Study had started and so did not attend that night.

Monday - Went to work. Started getting settled in with a new co-teacher for the group because they did a major staffing change for the various groups. I stayed put with my group, no surprise since I have been working with the three year olds for 3.5 years now! Got home had something to eat and then off to respite work.

Tuesday - Over slept but managed to get out of apartment in time to catch a bus to be on time for work. Discussed what to get a co-worker for the baby shower with another co-worker. Decided to purchase something together and ended up finding a really good deal on an ExerSaucer that was even pink (nice because the co-worker's baby is a girl)! Bussed home and took it a little bit easy especially since I was feeling really tired.

Wednesday - Went to work still feeling really groggy and tired. Had a really rough morning, as 15 out of 16 children in my group were having rough mornings and I was with a substitute for the morning! Afternoon went better, but still felt really tired. Slept on the bus ride home and headed off to respite work 10 minutes after getting home. Now back home from the respite work!

It has been a pretty busy week, and a week that has had it's share of injury and general not feeling well. But I keep truckin' on because what else is there to do?
